Robert Pardo
Creator of Walk-Forward Analysis™
Robert is an early pioneer of algorithmic trading and applications in the futures industry, has been a consultant to top trading firms, a celebrated author and an accomplished strategy designer and top trader.
In 1991 Robert developed the ground-breaking methodology which is now considered the “gold standard” – for strategy optimization and validation known as Walk-Forward Analysis™
He has increasingly focused on the creation of techniques to optimize and validate trading strategies in a reliable way and to eliminate hindsight and over-fitting.
Beginning in the late ‘80s Bob launched Pardo Group Limited a boutique consulting firm providing design, programming and analysis services to a select group of clients including Goldman Sachs, Daiwa Securities and Transworld to name a few.
Bob was featured as one of the Top Traders of 2008 in Futures magazine.
Robert Carver
Independent Systematic Trader
Robert is an independent systematic futures trader, writer and research consultant; and is currently a visiting lecturer at Queen Mary, University of London.
He is the author of “Systematic Trading: A unique new method for designing trading and investing systems”, “Smart Portfolios: A practical guide to building and maintaining intelligent investment portfolios”, and “Leveraged Trading: A professional approach to trading FX, stocks on margin, CFDs, spread bets and futures for all traders”.
Until 2013 Robert worked for AHL, a large systematic hedge fund, and part of the Man Group. He was responsible for the creation of AHL’s fundamental global macro strategy, and then managed the funds multi billion dollar fixed income portfolio.
Prior to that Robert has traded exotic derivatives for Barclays investment bank. He spent his early career in the Middle East.
Robert has a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Manchester, and a Masters degree, also in Economics, from Birkbeck College, University of London.”

Laurent Bernut, Founder & CEO of ASC, has worked in the alternative investment space at Fidelity Investments, Rockampton, and Ward Ferry, for 14 years.
For the past 8 years at Fidelity, his mandate as a dedicated short seller was to underperform the longest bear market in modern history: Japan equities.
With 14 years experience in the alternative space, trading equities, options and Forex including specific experience generating alpha over 8 years as a short seller.
Laurent has developed risk management systems for portfolios and developed algorithmic trading strategies that perform on multiple platforms.
